Having dyslexia, writing and reading have never been my favorite items on the menu.
Neither was I a huge fan of rules and regulations concerning design, basically because they don’t always enhance functionality. I started to create and design ‘out of the box’ to improve the quality of people’s lives, those of fellow dyslexics in particular. And simply because creating brings me lots of joy.
Instead of following design rules and regulations I offer solutions that will actually deliver the most convenient result, aesthetically and in terms of functionality. When creating I keep both the goal of the client as the needs of the end-user in mind, taking away language barriers, resulting in creative concepts and unique designs that work for everyone.
For my thesis (in 2008) at the Art Academy I broke all rules concerning typography, resulting in a font that is easier to read for people with dyslexia. I’ve created several tools in order for people to fully benefit from Dyslexie Font, at home, school and at work. As a designer, I help clients to translate concepts into functional designs, creating 3-D movies, minimalistic designs, logos, posters, books, animation, but also furniture and lightning.

Dyslexic Dictionary
Dyslexic Dictionary is a provocation — an invitation to explore and redefine.
Nine dyslexic artists have been commissioned to produce a creative response to a book, word, poem, quote, article or even a single letter that highlights how their minds experience language.
The exhibition illuminates the dyslexic experience of language in powerfully graphical terms. Dyslexia pushes artists to interpret the world differently. The end result celebrates a vibrant diversity of dyslexic talent across mediums and backgrounds in an effort to lead a paradigm shift in the way society understands learning differences.
We chose the term “dictionary” as a placeholder for a collection of reimaginations and reinterpretations of the dyslexic experience that will explode the very notion of a dictionary.
The mission is to present dyslexia as a visionary, positive force — a hyper-ability that does not create but instead solves problems.
More than just an exhibition, Dyslexic Dictionary is a forum to showcase dyslexic ingenuity, host public conversation and gather community.

Vision is not only what you see directly but also how the brain processes visual information — how your inner eye works with a dyslexic brain. People should look at dyslexia with a new positive vision in the future.
