Nicole Ofiesh

She focuses on “the missing middle” — the time between high school and retirement — and advocates for teaching the whole person to foster lifelong learning and purpose. She is the founder of Brain Explained and former Executive Director of the Stanford Schwab Learning Center. At Stanford, she co-designed the Neurodiversity and Design Thinking course and lectures on inclusive education. A frequent keynote speaker and author of Teaching for the Lifespan (2016), Nicole has held faculty roles at Stanford, Penn State, and more. Her work has influenced federal guidance on test accommodations and reimagines how we prepare learners for the 21st and 22nd centuries.
