Jake Sussman is the founder and president of Superpower Mentors, an online platform that provides mentorship for youth and young adults with ADHD, dyslexia and other learning differences.
Neurodivergent himself, Jake channeled his struggles growing up with ADHD into a poem called "The Forgotten Child," with lines like "Don’t ever give up your shot / Our minds are all we’ve got!" The poem found an audience on social media and became a catalyst for speaking engagements and, later, his own business.
Superpower Mentors fills the gap between the educational system and traditional therapy by pairing young people with mentors whose life experiences mirror their own. Mentors provide guidance, support and perspective, helping mentees build confidence and self-advocacy.
